La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà domenica 7 gennaio al Beverly Hilton Hotel.
È stata Kristen Bell (indimenticata Veronica Mars e attualmente nel cast della comedy The Good Place) ad annunciare la nomination della 75esima edizione dei Golden Globe Awards, i premi che la stampa estera a Los Angeles (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) conferisce ai miglior film e alle migliori serie tv dell’anno, a metà strada fra Oscar e Emmy.
Prima di lasciarvi all’elenco delle nomination, vi ricordiamo che la cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà domenica 7 gennaio nello storico Beverly Hilton Hotel e sarà condotta da Seth Meyers. Uscito sconfitto dalle nomination tecniche agli Emmy, la co-produzione italo-americana HBO e Sky The Young Pope di Paolo Sorrentino si consola con la nomination a Jude Law come miglior attore protagonista. Maggiormente variegate e distribuite rispetto ai più “conservatori” Emmy vediamo andare per la maggiore ancora The Crown e The Handmaid’s Tale, così come le loro attrici protagoniste, e vediamo sempre più spazio a Netflix, con l’ingresso in nomination del teen dall’aspetto sociale Tredici (13 Reasons Why) ma anche del drama Ozark e della dramedy GLOW. New entry anche molto recenti come l’apprezzato Freddie Highmore in The Good Doctor e la nuova serie di Amy Sherman-Palladino The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (la nostra recensione qui). Nessuna grossa sorpresa fra le miniserie (a contendersi tutte le statuette saranno probabilmente Big Little Lies e FEUD) a parte forse l’assenza di Twin Peaks (salvo la nomination per Kyle MacLachan) ma forse indicativa che la vicenda dei Cahiers Du Cinema di questi giorni non è poi così fuoriluogo. Fa un gran piacere invece l’inserimento di Fargo e del suo caratterista David Thewlis, che ha regalato un villain viscido, subdolo e spettacolare alla (probabilmente ultima) terza stagione. Da segnalare infine la soddisfazione per la tv in chiaro NBC dopo This Is Us: dopo il grande (e riuscito) ritorno in tv di Will & Grace la sitcom ottiene 11 anni dopo l’ultima volta una nomination sia come miglior comedy sia per il suo protagonista Eric McCormack.
